they are not maintained by anyone and could be dangerous! At least I think that’s the reason why it’s been made illegal.

just curious why is it illegal to walk up the stairs to the top if the mountain if the stairs were man made?

no, we did not get …
no, we did not get charged. We took the risk and came out ahead by having no guard present. We got there before daybreak to avoid the guard. On the way down, you are at your own risk. My friend took his wife up there and on the way down encountered a guard and they said he was quite friendly.

hi, quick question, im planning on climbing the stairway to heaven in late december, but iv been reading that their are guards.
So my question is how do you get up to the top by avoiding the guards? you probably go early before they get there. But on the way down how do you aviod them?
