PEARL HARBOR: USS Arizona Memorial Site – Oahu, Hawaii

My Visit to Hawaii, February-March 2008: I went to see the USS Arizona Memorial Site at Pearl Harbor, in the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The visit was very solemn.

Over 300 aircraft of the Imperial Japanese navy launch a pre-planned airstrike against the US Pacific Fleet. At 8:06AM, December 7, 1941 a torpedo bomber sent a single bomb into the deck of Pennsylvania class battleship USS Arizona and tore the ship and reduced the once proud battleship to a flaming hulk and sending her to the bottom of the harbor, killing 1,177 of her 1,400 crew members.

I got to go visit pearl harbor in Hawaii! it was so great! I got to see the USS Arizona. i even took some pictures there and bought some stuff. i even have the news paper on the day of the pearl harbor! I am doing a 5 page essay on pearl harbor. I can’t stay away form this stuff. Its so amazing. It probably one of the three things that interest me the most. The other two are the 1960’s and Greek Mythology. Go to national Geographic to find good information. They have some pretty great info.
